Cooler weather is perfect for us.
Three coats tonight by a big team of iceguys.
Dan, Austin both made cameo appearances tonight, along with Craig, Peter, Chris, Adrian, Jamie, Andrew P., and Kurt.

Must mention a big thanks!!! to Bill and Andrew G. for coming down this afternoon and clearing off the upper and lower for us. Andrew started the Whoopie Doodles on the upper.
I went down and programmed the lights 4:30-11:30 pm. If anyone is there tonight let me know if the lights DID NOT come on.

Ten Days and we can say we are off to the "rink races". We had to kick of a group of hockey skaters tonight that braved the uneven sheet.
Kris, Bill, Dave, Peter, John and Kurt chipped away the upper ice before laying down two coats on each.
Upper = 13 coats
Lower = 15 coats
-10ºC but felt like -19ºC.
Total Coats after nine days of Flooding;

We did a little maintenance to the ice tonight by scraping and chipping the high spots.

Bill, Kris, Dave, Jeff, and Kurt put down two coats on each tonight. Weather is look bad for us fellas. Tomorrow night and Thursday is a GO for 7 pm, but Friday and the weekend looks to be too warm to flood. Overnight temps -3 and -1 on the weekend. Lets take some time off this weekend.

Six days in and it is Skate-able. Might be a record, I will have to go back on the Blog.

Kris, Craig and Kurt put down a generous layer, weather permitted, tonight. Took about an hour.
Graham and Mike showed up from the Banff Trail rinks. They are having some issues with their set up and wanted to check out our ice. We gave them the tour of the hose room and reel. Chatted about how we pack then flood and our processes, etc.
Lower is looking fine.
Let's keep up the good work guys and go again tomorrow night at 7 PM.
