Ice

Bud, Keith, Biagio, Andrew, and Kurt came out to do a cheer and recap the season.
The weather has taken over and has become the enemy on our quest for ice. She is much stronger and has won. So, we are planning the tear-down and put-away of materials for the next week. We will need help getting the shovels and benches put away on Sunday evening. The netting will be taken down Thursday with a wind up party on Sunday next week.

Thanks to everyone that helped make this a great ice making year.

Cheers
Kurt

Seventh Olympic Gold

Kaillie Humphries and Heather Moyse won in Bobsled. So now we have 15 medals, 7 gold, 6 silver,2 bronze.

Need More Helpers on the Icemaking Days!

Gentlemen.
It was Bud, Ian, Kris and Kurt again today. We don't want to sound like broken records, but we do... There needs to be more help, with a larger pool of people. For next year we want to have those who are committed on the list, otherwise we will have to start looking for other volunteers.

-2ÂșC and Clear

We are planning a wrap up party with food and beer, but you will only find out about it if you attend some flooding nights.

Hope to see new and old faces next time.

Flames Lost, We Won!

Flames lost tonight. We won, by putting on two coats on the upper and one generous on the lower.
Kris, Bud, Biagio, Jamie and Kurt where out to make the Family Day weekend skate better.

We know this weekend is for your wife, but if you do some extra special "things" on Saturday or Sunday we can really use you all Sunday night for a great big flood.

Thanks.
Keep your hose low to the ice eh!

Rosemont Party

The party Saturday was fun and everyone had a good time. Food was great, and so was the company and being able to chat with the neighbors. Thanks to all the organizers that helped to make it run smooth. You ROCK! and you know who you are.

Bud, Keith, Ian and Kurt showed up tonight to put a generous first coat, followed by a medium second coat.

A reminder to those who may have forgotten, this weekend is Family Day. It will be very busy on the ice over the three days, so if we can get the whole gang out this Thursday to do as may coats as we can, would be appreciated. (Say, a mini flood fest).

Thanks. Keep the hose low on the ice eh?

looking back

Thanks Men for your help last night and Doug for the Calgary Beer. According to this blog, last season was colder and we had more snow, plus the rinks were done by March 5th,2009. This year we had a late start ,so lets hope for a late finish.

Winding Down The Hose

The year has flown by and we are preparing for the end of the flooding season.
Bud, Kris, Andrew, Ian, Grant, Jamie, JR, and Kurt came out to flood and fest. Nick's Steak House and Pizza provide the hungry flooders with pies. Thanks to Mark and Nick!

Bud's goalie went missing from the ice. Bud announced it to the crew and had us help him look for the cutout. All-the-while, he had it in the back of his van with graffiti all over it. Ironically the graffiti was very well done and has a great resemblance to Nick's Steak House and Pizza. Mark my be pressing charges for copy right infringements. Bud I have a great copyright lawyer if you need one.

Hope to see everyone at Saturday's Party at the hall.
