Total Upper = 59

Total Lower = 61

The CREW weathered the cold Feb 11-19th and managed to flood and clear 4 more coats on each.

As soon as Kurt landed from Mexico the weather got better. Too warm actually. There has been no flooding in over a week. Kurt took some photos this week showing the recession of the lower ice.

Let's start planning the wrap up party soon. We can meet down at the hall to put nets away and figure it out. Monday night at 7:30?

Cold Can't Keep us Away...

Total Upper = 55

Total Lower = 57

Tuesday Feb 04, We cleared off the rinks and scraped to get ready for Shinny. We found out it was cancelled due to the -20º C weather. Thanks to afternoon crew that came down to help.

Thursday afternoon, Kurt came down to clear off the snow.

As Kurt finished clearing, a gal showed up for an afternoon skate.

Thursday night the guys put down two coats, and the result was a beautiful Friday morning with frost in the air.

Let's keep up the great work this week. Monday looks like a great night to flood again.

Sunday Flood

Total Upper = 48

Total Lower = 50

Eddie (the new iceguy), Andrew P., Grant, Adrian, John, Peter, Craig, Kurt came down today at 1 pm to clear the snow and we decided to give both sheets two coats.

A bald eagle was spotted while we were there and Kurt stepped away to investigate. Sure enough it was a big bird.  "Eddie the Eagle" new nickname for you Ed.

Brrr. Photos are worth a thousand words, -36ºC windchill today.

Canada's most wanted. If you have seen this guy, say hi.

Andrew giving the lower a blast on the first coat.
Kurt sending another blast for a second coat on the lower.
Clearing the snow before deciding to flood.
Kurt bringing out the hose on a frosty cold beautiful day.
These are not fake eyelashes. Matthew is always naturally fun.
Great day to get out the water.

First coat.
It looks like a nice sunny day. It was too, but a bit chilly.
Adrian doing the "Makarana". Nice Specs!
Eddie is in RED. Thanks Ed!

Not sure what Monday night is going to be like. Might be too cold to flood. Lets see.
