Bud,Peter ,Ian and Jamie added a coat to each rink.
Now 17 coats on the upper and 16 on the lower.

Monday night report

Peter, Kurt,Biagio, Bud and Kris added a coat to each rink.
We could tell by the marks, that someone had been shaking on the upper rink, this afternoon.
We now have 16 coats on the upper rink and 15 on the lower.

Kurt when down in the afternoon and used Bertha to cleaned the upper rink.
Later , pictures from the top, we put out the benches and Andrew, Kris, Keith, Bud, Keith, Jamie, Kurt and Grant, cleaned the bottom rink and added a coat to each. We now have 15 coats of the upper and 14 on the lower.

Pizza night

We had a lot of snow and it was still snowing so we just had a Pizza Night thanks to Nick's from ; Peter, Kurt, Glenn, Ian , Neil and Bud.
We have to put "Bertha" to work tomorrow to clean the rinks so we can add some water.

Friday Night's Team

Ian, Jamie, Biagio & Peter added two coats to each rink.
Kurt's hose roller upper the W.W.W. is working well.
We now have 14 coats on the top and 13 on the bottom rink.
We need to have a " Team " flooding every night, so the kids can Skate and Play Hockey.

Tonight's Team

We had Biagio, Kurt, Peter, Jamie, Ian, and Bud , it's was warm so we did a coat on each rink. Kurt demo, his W.W.W. and we had Two kids skating.
So now we have 12 coats on the upper and 11 coats on the bottom rink.
Also we hung up the Christmas Lights and had some beers, LOL

Update

Sunday, Nov. 27th, the Lions (34) beat the Bombers (23) to win the Grey Cup, after the Game, Peter, Bud and Keith added a coat to each rink.
Monday, Nov. 28th,Peter , Glenn and Ian added a coat to each rink,
Wednesday, the 30th, we finally had a dump of Snow, so Grant used his Truck to pull the board and flatten the snow so Bud, Kurt and Glenn could add a coat to each rink. We now have 11 coats on the upper and 10 on the lower rink.
Kurt used his W.W.W. = Westergard Water Wheel for the first time..pretty COOL eh ?

Last night

Kurt and Kris added a coat to each rink, Bud helped by staying out of the way and taking pictures. LOL

1 pm today

Peter, Kurt, Dale and Bud, fixed a hole in the hose and added a coat to each rink.
Now 7 coats on the upper and 6 on the lower.

Getting Her Done

De boys started last night Friday Nov.18 and have been working, we already have 6 coats on the upper rink and 5 on the lower.We plan on giving her every night this week at 7 pm.So be a man and join us..LOL

Winging It

Kurt and Grant have already put up the nets over the hall windows.
Tonight we had our first meeting.Hope to start soon, just need SNOW !

End of Season Report

It was a long season, with opening Day on Nov. 27th tied with 2008 for the earliest, last season we opened on Dec. 12th,2009, this year's closing date was March 13th last season we closed on March 5th,2010 so we had approx. 24 more days.We started flooding at 8 pm this season and added 66 coats to the upper rink and 54 to the lower, plus the lower rink was larger than most years.Bertha our snow blower had a rough year and may need a new motor.This years crew was; Andrew,Biagio,2 Brads, Bud,Dennis,Glenn,Grant,Ian,Jamie,Jeff,JR,Keith,Kris,Kurt and Neil.Thanks to Spolumbo's for sausages, Nick's for lots of Pizzas and Bud's friend Doug for Calgary Beer.Thanks to Kris' wife Lisa for letting us know about the Calgary Herald's Contest,we won their CALGARY'S BEST OUTDOOR SKATING RINK contest.Prize where two tickets to the Heritage Classic , Bud and Kurt went, thanks to Keith for giving his ticket to Kurt.We also got lots of other press with Kurt, Kris and Kurt's daughter Paulina appearing in different newspaper stories.This season's Shinny Hockey program was the best ever according to Coach Grant Parks . With help from Jean and Hillary Blackstock and Assistant Coach Todd, 24 kids enjoyed the Tuesday night program.
Thanks to all involved in the success of this season.

Wrap Up Thursday March 24th

Kurt, Andrew, Bud, Ian, Kris, Glenn, Keith, Biagio and Jamie all met to Celebrate the Best Ice Guy Season in a long time.

First Day of Spring ..Cleaning

Bud, Grant and Kurt, took down the window nets and put them away.
Keener Kurt was down earlier and clean out the Bertha room.
Another good job by Kurt.

Tonight; Bud, Andrew,Ian and Dennis showed up and took the nets off the ice and put some shovels away. Looks like we are done,but we should still show up Thursday to tidy things up.

Saturday Afternoon

The weather was warm and brought out all the photographers.
The Calgary Herald and the Calgary Sun took what could be the last photos of our traffic ice this year.

Spring is just around the corner.

Kris, Biagio,Ian,Kurt,& Brad, added what maybe the last two coats to the upper rink.
So now there are 66 coats on the upper and 54 on the lower.
