Well we knew the snow was coming. Bill, Andrew P., and Kurt got down prior to the flurries and were able to put a generous coat on the upper rink. We were hoping to hit the lower tonight but mother nature kept us from our goal.
Half way through flooding, Adrian shows up in flurry running down the north hill from the alley. The grade of the hill carried the Brit at a high rate of speed... so much so, that he was unable to slow down let-a-lone stop when he hit the flat of our newly watered slurpie of a first coat. Once the tipsy lad WAS able to control his momentum, we were all suprized to notice that he was in Crocks sandals and sporting a sweater. Adrian's email was not working so he did not receive notices that we are flooding. Out of breath he said; "I was taking out the rubbish" (trash for us Canucks), "and heard the water on the rinks, so I thought I'd come down and say hello!"
Here is the man. Photo say a thousand words;
As mentioned we are going every night till we can get a hockey team skating on it. So we need help.
Please email kurtwest@icloud.com if you can make the next 3 days Friday Saturday or Sunday. This way we have some idea of a team.
Keeping the hose on the ice,
Kurt
