Hard to believe that it was just thanksgiving that we were raking leaves off the hill. It is harder to believe that a month later there are still leaves on the ground and not snow.
First of all I want to make sure our team is still wanting to receive emails and wanting to help out with the ice this year. I know some of you cant or have moved out of the hood. So, please let me know if you want off the list, otherwise I will keep clicking your name.
Off to a late start this year. I know a few of you have emailed me about starting the base without snow once it stays cold enough. Well, that is the option. Looks like Friday is staying cold throughout the days now. We need a good 5 days of below temps to freeze the ground. Hopefully we will receive snow next week. In which case its all hands on the hose to get a good base. Christmas is fast approaching.
I'd like to schedule a "safety meeting" at the shed on Thursday around 7:30 pm to meet up and organize the shed. We might have to hydrate as well.
Let me know who is IN for Thursday and we can strategize the Next Steps in preparing the ice.
Keeping the hose on the ice,
Kurt
