24th flood time ,Kurt's Report

Two coats on each.so now 45 coats on lower & 44 on the upper, Tonight's team; Claire, Andre, Ian ,John ,Brad , Kurt and Two unknown volunteers.

Hi guys - first of all great job as always on the ice this year . we were out a number of times over the holidays - great fun ... re the shovels ; im not saying its the case everytime, but i know some of the time, broken shovels are likely due to improper use and not vandals ..when we were shoveling - more than once i noticed guys pushing and then lifting it up on to the banks- causing way too much strain on the shovels ( and their backs). i try to encourage the push to the edge and let the snow blowers do the rest at night .. just fyi
